We did build closer to the road as we wanted mainly back yard for the dogs and to enjoy. We don't need a huge front yard. I am not sure which house you were looking at, but our yard is full of Mud and our side yard has a small pond in it currently from all the rain....
I think that I might have been looking at a different house, as the one that I was looking at was in a row of houses while this one still sits back a longer distance from the road. I was looking at a house that might have been ten or twelve feet back from Mounds Road and had very little yard space to the side.
Yeah ours has a lot of space. 1.53 acre in all lots of side yard and back yard.
Definitely a different house then.
