WORTHY JOURNEY

It's such a beautiful day,
when sisters and brothers unite,
reaching across the way,
with new spiritual insight.

The morning star travels through the night,
as the evening star that returns to the light,
to become fully equipped the darkness we befriend,
through brokenness and sorrow we buckle and bend.

To understand the pain and torment of others,
we need to experience what's under the covers,
we cannot know the depths of desolation,
unless we travelled on the paths of isolation.

To be struck with helpless desperation,
forced into choices of devastation,
you're damned if you do and damned if you don't,
doesn't leave much space for the choice of I won't.

When we go through hell to save another soul,
it's well worth the journey through the darkened hole,
we see from the inside how things are done,
so no one can mislead us just for fun.

We see exactly how the snare are laid,
we see where and how the bribes are paid,
we gain the knowledge we need to strive,
find all the gaps we needs to survive
