REDEEMTION OF PETRONAS MESRA CARD (RM2.2 = 6.6 POINTS = Redeem RM0.066)

in #blog6 years ago (edited)

Previously on this topic of "Save RM10 when you petrol RM100"
(https://steemit.com/teammalaysia/@sphenix/saving-how-to-save-rm10-when-you-petrol-rm100-rm10-rm100--1527610142) and now finally redeemed the very first time by redeem their points.

When I reached petrol station to inquiry on how to redeem, he just said "masukan saja tu mesin". So I was like, is just like that? So this is how it works, just insert the mesra card to the petrol station, and just followed the screen instruction, previously I thought the point it works same like Petron where 3000 = RM45 and it seems not.

it actually 1000 points = RM10
Which mean you need to spend RM3300 to redeem RM45

Overall like me, weekly Petrol cost me about RM65, in another words 1 year RM3120.

It actually still better than Petron, Petron required to spend RM4950 in order redeem RM45
while Petronas need to spend RM3300 to redeem RM45.

so if that the case, for Petron I need 1.5 year to redeem RM45

While Petronas I need to pump 1 year only can get back RM45 XD

Petronas actually can redeem the points anytime, meaning you do not need to wait till 4500 points to redeem, believe minimum 100 to redeem RM1 I guess.
While petron works the other way, it required to minimum 4500 in order to redeem RM45, besides is not as flexible as Petronas. It actually required owner go in the counter to verification to redeem.

Petron 1 litre = 2 points (RM2.2 = 2 points)

While Petronas 1 litre = 3 points (RM2.2 = 3 points)

Overall still pretty good deal, can save almost 10%
Actually does it matter either Petron or Petronas for you guys? in term of performance and cleaning?

哈哈哈!你们喜欢亚妈爹喉?哈哈哈

I have lost my mesra card for many years and I find the BHP patrol station could get me other stuffs easier besides patrol...

Although it requires 950 points to get RM5 (from the last time I redeemed) rebate, I could sometimes just exchange drinks or snacks when I am low in cash. The cup noodles are very tempting.

Now as I have moved to a further place from my work and I literally travel more when there are #teammalaysia meetups, my fuel consumption has spiked up pretty much despite I try not to accelerate and drive as smooth as possible.

Oh well, that's how bad times are; but we should truly be grateful because it is still far much better than other economic downfall countries who are fighting for scrap daily.

Eh? Bhp can get more on stuff?... interesting,...but wait, i hardly find bhp around my area. Oh well, buy hybrid car can save even more i guess...

Hybrid will probably useful in the long run if you are in the busy city; but it is also still a heavy investment
