RE: 20 Minute Blog a Day - admitting you have a problem is the first step
Wow, you reread too. Okaaay¡ 😃 once you've ventured into Georgette Heyer for some light humorous fun reading, might I also suggest trying a story from first century Rome. Lindsay Davis writes of an 'investigator', and does so in a very humorous way. The Flavia Alba books are what you will find in bookstores today, but try first to find the stories that pre-date that heroine, of her adoptive father Marcus Didius Falco. There must be about a dozen, off the top of my head, I don't recall the titles too well, but the stories, the background, and the manner in which they are told, I thoroughly recommend. 😇
@simon62 with your natural abundance of information I would have thought you read a new book every day! so glad I'm not alone in this struggle.
I am adding your recommendations to my must read list - Heyer's already in line ;-) I'm headed to the library this weekend !
Heyer did write a few detective mysteries as well, if you like Agatha Christie's Poirot. I have in my time read as many as three books in a day, but that was when strung on string in traction from the ceiling. 😜
