A Little Bit of History
A while back, I decided to go through my family history and was given this image. The gentleman in the photograph is my great great grandfather - a man that served during world war 1.
The interesting thing about looking back at history is finding stories, if there are any stories to find. It turns out there was one.
His wife at the time during the war was left at home in Australia. When he returned, he found that she had illegally remarried another man and basically left my relative out on the streets. He was left with nothing at the time apart from a bit of money. He ended up taking the case to court where he was able to be compensated and she was charged for the crime.
He went on to remarry and have 6 children with his second wife and the rest they say, is history.
