Reported by Alphr, Thursday (15/2/2018), Smart Reply feature was first brought to the Gmail email client in 2015, which allows users to submit emails sent to Google's AI contextual.

Now, Area 120, the experimental team at Google wants to bring its contextual replies to other chat-based platforms like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. Area 120 encourages users to try a new app called 'Reply'.

According to Android Police, Reply will respond to questions made by the messaging platform of people who ask about things like, "When will you be at home?". The system uses location data to help you respond back.

The reply will also have an auto-responder, plus a "do not disturb / do not disturb" mode for those on vacation or driving. This will be able to prioritize information and send a notification if AI thinks it is important, for example if a friend asks, "Where are you?".

Reportedly, this feature can also support for other applications such as WhatsApp, Google Hangouts, Facebook, Messenger, Slack, Skype and DM Twitter.

When the user wants to try, the Alphr site provides a link that takes the user to try the Reply app. Users can fill out forms with your data and also the chat platform you use to gain access to the app.

Note that the Reply app will only be available on Android for a while.
