RE: 20 Minute Blog a Day - admitting you have a problem is the first step

in #blog7 years ago

Well now...this is hardly a problem in my books lol

I began reading as a kid, taught high school English as an adult but always managed to find cool books for the kids to read (I taught at a Fine Arts School, so I could always make a case for good literature:), and now continue to read AND re-read. You mentioning "The Stand" made me smile; it was one of my favorites growing up (I loved Stephen King), and I reread it plenty....and totally saw something new each time I did. I may have to go back to it now!
Loved the blog....since getting on steemit, I've read less and just told my husband last night that I need to reschedule my time a bit to get more reading back in. Actually, this is my last comment here and I'm grabbing a book and heading to the beach:) Cheers!

Yay! Good for you! It is so easy to get wrapped up in Steemit and lose track of time! So cool you love Stephen King too - he's really phenomenal. I'm glad I triggered that memory for you!

I'm glad you triggered it for me too! If you've never read an essay by Stephen King called "Why we crave horror movies", you've gotta check it out. I used to give it to my senior students and we'd have the best conversations!! Here it is if you want to have a look :) https://www.humbleisd.net/cms/lib2/TX01001414/Centricity/Domain/2669/whywecravehorrormovies.pdf

thanks! I'm gonna check it out - I haven't read this one yet, I'm excited!
