RE: Leftist liberal media and SJW's are losing all connection with sanity...

No offense taken! lol
I am very liberal, but these times are in the 'reset period'. And I see it going two ways - back to reality or a dystopian marxist hell.

I know which I would prefer. Freedom lies in only one of these directions.

For me, maintaining a liberal stance in the face of what is going on in these complicated times, is to support the 'evil side'.

I ain't doing that.

The real liberal ideology can only flourish with freedom as an option.. (imo)

Ah, but what is reality, really?

If you're talking about a socio-political reality, then it is entirely fluid, but seems to be constantly heading in a more "liberal" direction. This is kind of consistent with the concept of zeitgeist.

I have a theory that as movements like #metoo happen, in the short term, things go too far as they get hijacked by people that really don't understand the nuances of the movement. There is a baseline (for arguments sake, say actual equality), and the line, having been way below since forever, veers wildly in the other direction for a while.

It isn't right, and there is collateral damage. It is what it is though.

YOU'RE a LIBERAL?
gasp

why...why....I'm mean...
faint

LOLOL. I can hardly describe myself as conservative, knowing my own lifestyle...
...doesn't change my values. Why am I defending myself? lolol

but..but..but..
I've been talking to a liberal?

shreik!

Yanno, most people have a few liberal values. Tell me, why are so many Americans so scared of liberals?

me thinks the word liberal means a different thing here than it does where you are.

here we're not so much afraid of it.
we'd just rather not get it on our shoes.
(tracks up the carpet rilly bad...smells too)

I'm not a smelly liberal! lol

In fact I don't even like that label.

All the 'liberals' I know, don't like guns - that's not a good sign.

If you arne't prepared to defend yourself and your property (freedom), they the label of liberal, is faux.

And if you think property rights are immoral, you're not liberal, you're a commie in disguise. (as the 'liberal' movement in the US, now appears to be...)

I think that's my stall laid out...

Ah, I have been in these waters before, and they get choppy. You feel strongly about the gun thing, and so do I, and we will not agree. And it is pointless talking about it, because neither of us is going to change our mind. And I have only been on Steemit five minutes, and a row about guns isn't going to do me any favours!

I don't have a problem with property rights, but I do have a problem with the way wealth is distributed, and I am probably closer to communism there than you would be comfortable with. Eight people have as much wealth as 3.5bn and 20000 children die of malnutrition every day. There is something profoundly wrong with that picture. Isn't there?

No fear off offending here, mate, type away.

It's a snowflake free zone..

Yes, this picture is indeed wrong - very much so...it's called crony capitalism.

The backdoor route to communism - it all leads to greater centralization, and concentration of power/wealth.

There hasn't been truly free markets for centuries...

Free market capitalism is the only way to ensure greater distribution of wealth...

Decentralization, and no coercive (corrupt) government, to interfere with commerce.

ZAP
(zero aggression principle)
that's my story and I'm stickin to it.
call yourself what you want...I don't care.

Does it mean something different? Liberal to me means progress and freedom.

it means the exact opposite here.
the word has been hijacked by the socialists/communists/ democrats/ fascists. It doersn't mean what it used to mean.

I think it also how one defines "freedom" and "progress" as well. They are not fixed.
