RE: Thoughts from the Front Lines: Come Out From The Whiners!
Well, I'll be disappointed if Messiah comes back and I find out we were completely wrong on what we were doing.
But if it turns out we were wrong on the calendar, I have to admit I won't take that too hard. I would sort of be thinking, "Well, that's not too surprising we got that mixed up!"
As long as we actually recognize Messiah as he comes, we have enough oil in our lamps to be invited into the feast and he's not sending us out with the weeping and gnashing of teeth, everything else is learnable.
Oh I'm expecting to be wrong about the calendar but I would be surprised if He came back and said we didn't have to do all that "Torah" stuff.....I just can't believe that would happen!
It does say many will be deceived but I'm praying that those following Torah will be able to properly recognize the Messiah. Deuteronomy 13 should help too!
Shalom!
Judging by the parable of the people who said, "But Lord, we cast out demons in your name!" and the other about the contrast between the wise religious man and the lowly tax collector, I think it's going to be a terrible and shocking thing to be in the judgement.
There are going to be people cast out whom we would never imagine could be. And there are going to be people who are honored we would never expect.
My hope is simply to have enough oil to be ready to go in when the bridegroom comes.
Deuteronomy 13 is a shocking passage when read with open eyes. There are a lot of things we are willing to let slide that God has already warned us about.
This is definitely not the time for sloppy Godliness.
Amen Sister!
In thinking about that verse.."Lord, Lord" I had to realize that only those that follow Yeshua would call Him Lord and what does he say to them..."away from me you workers of lawlessness." Scary words indeed!
That story takes my votes as one of the most disturbing in the whole Bible, not necessarily because of it's content but it's implications.
Very much agree with you!
