The Life of a Clown
Under the spotlight at center stage, each of us is like a performer trying hard to present our best self. The audience might be our family, friends, coworkers, or even society as a whole, all expecting us to bring surprise, laughter, or emotion.
The clown is an essential part of any circus. With exaggerated movements and bright makeup, clowns bring joy to others. I often feel like one myself. In real life, even when my heart feels heavy, I still put on a smile. I smile at my boss and say, “I can handle the work.” I smile at my parents and say, “I’ve got enough money.” I smile at my friends and say, “I’m fine.” But the truth is, life is never that easy.
I think the circus of life has no fixed script, and each of us is both the writer and the actor. Some chase applause, while others simply hope to leave the stage quietly. Either way, the show will end one day. What truly matters is whether we gave it our all and can bow out with no regrets.
