ParcelBroker: Investigation Into a Potential Data Exposure

ParcelBroker has experienced a significant data security incident involving a potential leak of customer contact information. According to an initial report from a third-party source, a limited set of customer names, email addresses, and phone numbers may have been exposed. Although this report has not yet been verified and the incident is not currently listed by monitoring services such as Norton or Have I Been Pwned, ParcelBroker is taking the matter extremely seriously and has launched an immediate investigation.

Preliminary findings from ParcelBroker’s internal review indicate that the issue stemmed from a test environment which contained a small subset of customer records and lacked proper IP Address restrictions. This environment has since been secured and access tightly controlled. The company has emphasized that its main live systems remain unaffected and fully secure, and there is no evidence at this time of unauthorized access to its primary database. Additionally, no sensitive personal data such as passwords or payment information was involved in the exposure.

In response to the incident, ParcelBroker has implemented additional security measures, including enhanced monitoring across all systems and a full audit of its data handling practices. Customers are being urged to remain cautious of suspicious emails, phone calls, or messages requesting personal information. ParcelBroker advises anyone who encounters such activity to contact the company immediately for support.
