Psycho Thoughts - Crypto, Steem, and Teens...

Teens...when hearing that most think about some awkward nobodies going through changes, with zits all of their face because they drink to much soda. Or maybe about a large group of people that are essentially slaves to their phones. I can only imagine what else may go into your head when your hear "teens," but this isn't about that. It's about the very core of teens and who they are. But, what exactly is that? What are our core values..if we even have any? Who are we? Well here's who we are...we are your future. We aren't our future though, that would just mean we're living for two generations, and at least, I assume that's impossible. But we are the future for adults today. We're moving at rapid speeds, some teens are already making a large impact in my home country-the US of A. We're changing the world, pushing for change that suits us and our humans rights, and changing the future as we know it.

Moreover, what am I really saying? I think a lot of people recognize that we are the future, and those same people are saying cryptocurrencies are for the future. But for some reason they're marketing that future towards adults. In my eyes that makes no sense; unless there is some inside joke that I've failed to grasp. Answer this, how is it that adults are the future of cryptocurrencies, but not the teens that are the future themselves? All teens, should know what the hella cryptocurrencies are and how to invest in them, and over all of that...what they're actually f-f-forrr! If you really want to make cryptocurrencies the future, you don't have to market towards the people already investing, but towards the people of the future-your future customers. If no teen knows about it-or only a few do-then when it comes to be our turn, we'll just switch to our governments currency, and then there you go. No more cryptos! And oh boy will their market value drop.

While financial prosperity is good, financial freedom is also as equally important. And although I do think that the market should be controlled in some sense(for example, regulating huge pump and dumps), I think having BTC or Steem allows you to have some sort of freedom. Right now, no one can control your money but you. Not the government, not your friend, and hopefully not your parents--but if they do, trust me... I understand. The people as a society, decide how much we think our currency is worth. That's it! No catches, no governmental intervention. If we all just abandoned our governments currency there's no regulation that can stop us. We set our own regulation and well if they try to make it illegal, that means they have to imprison their entire population. And that's kind of a no go sooooo.

Another great thing about crypto is no one can hack into your account and steal all your BTC like they could a bank. Why? Well because there's to many damn servers to hack and well when you take everyone's money, BTC isn't going to be worth shit cause the hacker has it all. So besides financial prosperity and financial freedom it also provides built-in financial security.

Anyways back to the original point. Cryptos are the future, but that future is for the teens of today. We can implement wide spread adoption if you just bring enough awareness to the stage for us. Its your job to get us interested!

NOTE: that's a whole topic on its own. Make sure to look for that so maybe you can learn how to get teens interested in cryptos.

But wait...there's another roadblock. Ummm, teens don't have thousands of dollars to spend on high profile investment portfolios in cryptocurrencies that incite the largest marginal profit. I mean most of us don't even have money, unless you have a job and/or your parents willing are to give you money. So what's a solution? What's a platform that offers teens the opportunity to make it in the crypto world? What's a platform that allows an essential introductory course to cryptos? Well, you're on it right now buddy.

Steemit is literally the best platform for young creators, in my opinion, steemit was built for young creators. The reason for that being one, it's an alternative to normal social media. Teens have to be fake, and unoriginal and normally have to follow the crowd just to get friends and likes. But here, "fakeness" isn't rewarded. People are giving away their own precious money that they worked so hard on. While some may spend it on hot girls in bikinis--because I mean we are still teens--most will only want to spend their money on genuine treasures. So, things like Facebook depression may decline sharply just by introducing the teen world to this platform. We can began to build real meaningful relationships with each other. We can learn how to communicate with each other. Etc, etc... Steemit all around provides what social media was original intended for. To talk to friends, family, and your community... but most importantly to be yourself! Two...teens need money! At least for things they want. And since 16 is probably the best your gonna get age requirement wise for a job, what can you do before that? Well even after turning 16, teens have the possibility of making more money on this platform then they ever could working at a McDonald's or Wendy's. They could get big and literally make money off of the delegation interest alone.

So what does this all mean? Steemit provides a social media platform that encourages freedom and creativity, whilst rewarding the authors for their contributions. Furthermore, that type of platform is exactly what teens need right now. And that's not all the reasons either. I just thought this was getting a bit to long and is definitely going to be a pain to revise. There's so many more opportunities that Steem, Steemit, and Crypto offer our teen community. And I for sure will be covering it all in later Psycho thoughts. Nonetheless, what are your thoughts on this? Do you think teens are the future, and we should be focusing on them now, or not? Why do you think that? Please anyone that reads this share your opinion, I want Psycho thoughts to be more of a discussion amongst peers then me just ranting about my opinions. Oh and if you're a teen, what do you think about this as well? Do you think this is a good assumption or not? Why for that as well?

Anyways, this has been @iamturtless. Peace...

I agree, steemit is such a great way to gain experience and a little bit of something for simply posting content. But it isn't marketed towards us teens, which is strange because to a teenager (at least in my experience) the prospect of earning money easily by doing something we already do on a daily basis for fun very appealing. I really like your post, I enjoyed reading it and you have some great examples in there, keep it up!

Thanks for mentioning that. It's one of the things I didn't get across was most of the teens that would be interested in Crypto and a decentralized currency platform are almost certainly creatives. And I just think introducing them to this idea of being paid for the creative things they already conger up, would entice them to this platform even more!

Hey, well said. Teens are the future. If we are not to learn about cryptocurrencies, then who is gonna make the future?

And also as you've said, this is the greatest platform for the teenagers to make their future. And also, the teens are wasting a lot of time on Facebook, Instagram and etc.. and they get nothing in return. And why don't they just make a Steemit account and get something back?

Steemit IS the place for teens. Keep Steeming buddy!

I think it's a great platform for everyone, and am glad to see people such as yourself trying to bolster the teen community on Steemit. This technology is vast and has a lot to offer. Steemit is not completely free of "fakeness" as there is a problem with bots, but no platform is without some problems. Glad to see you embracing the community and getting excited about the potential

Yeah that's a valid argument, however, I was referring more to creators developing their work. I think that everyone on here, besides those bots, put time and effort into their post. Quality is the only way you can make money on this platform-or at least to my knowledge. But with normal social media, everyone puts on a mask and tries to make their life better then it is. But again, I do see you point. Thanks for the support as always!

I think you are right about teens should learn more about crypto, but it will make more sense to say "learn more about the blockchain".
In your country, as I know, teens (under 18) can't invest in crypto. I dont know the law, although I believe teens should be able to do so if they can proof a level of knowledge.

Good luck in your journey my friend, you are in the right track for sure!

Well the is investing. At least for now, i'm allowed to do this at my own whim. Plus i don't have to use coinbase...there's an excellent website that allows you to store BTC, which I can easily convert Steem into, and once you get $10 you can buy a card. the problem is the bank account, and anyone 12 and older can open a bank account-as long as your parent is on there with you as well. Nevertheless, thanks for the compliment, and for the encouragement as well.

Thanks for the support!

Yeah, you're right. I wonder how many youngsters there didn't know the word ''cryptocurrency''. I think there should be lessons for teens about cryptocurrency. I agree with you, Steemit is the greatest platform to start their crypto journey.

Exactly... actually i'm working on those courses. I want to make sure that when we do introduce teens to steemit, or cryptos in general, they have a firm grasp of all of this and can get around just fine.

It is good to see young people who are forward-thinking like you are doing here. Bravo, and so good of you to want to connect with other youth on the platform so you can learn and grow together!

Hey @thekittygirl, we've already partnered. That's why I have the tag #tos...Thanks for looking out though! Steem teen is just the account right now, but the real community is Teens on Steem.

Ah... I didn't look at your tags... 😁

I think this is a really good initiative and good luck in your ventures. Teens are the future and this platform can help most of them to become self sufficient. Good luck.

Thanks I hope I have your support for the future. It was great fun, in the chat. You guys are some really good people.
