RE: Blogging with consistency is hard! And I'm failing at it...
I can only say that I expect your new posts. I am not satisfied with my work on the steemit. Maybe I was expecting too much?
I'm trying to increase my rating with quantity, and then start with higher quality posts. I want to write about historical events in Serbia. About museums, cultural monuments, personalities that have marked Serbia.
In my experience in the previous 2 months, it seems to me that nobody would read them. It seems to me that more important photos are than words. However, I will continue to write, I have not lost faith in success.
Well, success takes time and iteration. I have read interesting posts from you about Serbia already. But I agree it's often hard for people to get eyeballs and votes on their posts, especially in the beginning. I've personally had posts that ended up earning $0.00 in the past, but it was never just about the rewards for me anyway.
The reason I'm annoyed with myself is that I'm not managing to post consistently at all and I want to start managing that mainly for my own satisfaction. Of course, monetary rewards would be more than welcome and quite stimulating, but I don't think low earnings would really discourage me. If I keep failing to be consistent, it will be because of me and not others.
I understand you, but there is a lot of this unclear on this platform!
It happens that some people set up a image several times during the day. Each time they get a few votes (mostly from the same people) and get 2 or 3 dollars. That looks like a violation of the rules.
On the other hand, someone writes a serious quality post that rarely reads!
That discourages a little, but we must continue writing!
I get that. There are multiple components to success and post quality is only one of those. Another important one is finding a way for people to actually discover your posts and building a relationship with your following. They are all pretty hard and also depend on luck too. But when we keep writing we give luck more chances to knock on our door too if not anything else.
I personally find a lot of value in commenting on other people's posts with comments that add value or a new perspective. This would allow new people to be exposed to you and hopefully some might decide to check out your posts and follow. Additionally, you might want to participate in competitions and challenges. Of course, I'm not sure I'm the one to give a lot of advice as I by no means have this figured out.
Thank you! Every advice is welcome. I did not comment much on other posts, and that may be one of my mistakes.
It might have been. You should try to be active and to interact with people and hopefully some of them would be happy to interact with you which would lead to new followers and readers. You have to be out there to give others the chance to discover you.
