My Top 5 Things To Know When Making Blog Posts.
Communication.
All life form is inherently blessed with the ability to send and receive information that can be processed by the receiver.
According to the English Dictionary app
Wikipedia sees the concept as
Communication (from Latin commūnicāre, meaning "to share") is the act of conveying intended meanings from one entity or group to another through the use of mutually understood signs and semiotic rules.
The basic strategy to existential survival and successful proliferation of species is proper communication.
Obviously, the importance of communication cannot be over-emphasized as it is one of the major reasons this post is beginning to catch your attention.😁😁
Now, the means by which we communicate cannot be exhausted: ranging from the most commonly known verbal cues to the unheard of non-verbal ones. This post will basically center on an aspect of the verbal cues; internet blogging.
Welcome to the 21st Century! Where everything is done online...
"The world is changing", pretty sure we've all heard that again and again. And thanks to the international network, we're all caught in this web spun around sites while wearing Google for goggles, travelling to Amazon for NATURAL supplies and watching the monkeys face their books on Facebook and happy tweeters tweet on Twitter.
Okay, maybe that was just meaningless pun.😁
Even this snail thinks it's meaningless too😂
But the point is our entire resource is mined from the internet: from the things we know to the ones we seek to know, even to the ones we do not know we don't know! All are weaved together on the internet.
I'll be talking on blogging (with reference to Steemit, of course) and I will tell you my top five things to know when making a blog post.
Disclaimer: The following information are all products of my thoughts and experience on Steemit. Any and all similarities to already published theory is purely coincidental.
Before You Post.
The bulk of writing a blog post is even before the first word is typed. This beginning stage is what either puts off the writer or tempts his fingers to fall on the board of keys to type.
These are what you should know before you post.

Who you're writing to is the foundational reason for even writing at first.
- Are you writing to yourself?
- Are you writing to a peer group?
- Are you writing to groups of geeks?
- Are you writing to the general public?
When you know whom you're writing to, then you'll know what to write.

It's a total waste of everything if you carry on with posting without having what to say.
- Think of what you want to say.
- Think of how it'll help your readers.
- Think of how it'll help you, the writer.
- Think of how it'll help your blog.
Once all these thoughts are answered, then dear blogger, you're good to start your post.
During Your Post.
Posting on a blog (Steemit, as my immediate reference) can be very tricky. The first thing to note is that your post will (most likely) be visually read than audibly heard.
So your post needs to completely appeal to sight as it appeals to reason.
These are what you should know during your post.

This is where many get it right and even more totally flop. By diction (choice of words), I mean:
- If the post is on a professional theme such as politics, health, science and technology etc, then formal spiced with semi-formal diction is appropriate.
- If the post is on family, relationship, lifestyle etc, then semi-formal mixed with informal diction is the best.
- If the post is on News or Reports such as Weather, Situational, Financial/Economical, please use formal diction only.
Your diction gets your targeted audience appreciate, endorse and even recommend your post where it'll get value for it's value.
Also, don't forget proper punctuation. Nerds, like myself, hate to see poorly punctuated works. This turns off interest to read the work.
Know when to fully stop your comma else question marks will scream in exclamation such that its colon would now be a semi-colon and it'll quote your "apostrophed" hyphen as to why you didn't punctuate well (again with the word play😂😂😂)
Moving on... (I do hope you're enjoying reading this article😊)

Ever seen a post and you're like "Oh my! So beautifully constructed." This is a direct consequence of the markdowns / stylings incorporated in the post.
- "Italics" give this "comical" look to words. I believe it serves to reduce the tension in the part of the text it's applied.
- "Bold" is basically for the purpose of emphasis. It makes your text "outstanding" 😉
"Quote" denotes a quote quoted from a specific source.
The source is usually sited below or above the quote.
"Text size" could increase size of text.
or
reduce size of text.
It has a default bold flavour that also draws emphatic attention to it.
- Addition of photo (.jpeg) or gifs (.gif) files helps your reader accurately paint mental motion pictures.
Know how to do these and even more and watch your post attract the attention it deserves.
After You Post.
This is the last thing to know.
- Have an already anticipating audience awaiting your post. (Assonance😁😁)
- Have a group or community that backs your post by first of all reading it, commenting on it then sharing it for friends to also appreciate.
- Ask for corrections to hidden errors in your writing or presentation of facts.
- Keep an open mind.
Basically, that's all you need to know!
- Your audience.
- Your message.
- Your diction.
- Your markdowns / stylings.
- Your follow-ups / community.

@godwine, while reading, I was so engrossed that I had to check your rep again. You write beautifully well, keeping your audience in mind. You even made use of the five points in your writeup. This is a guide for everyone, cos it is well illustrated and I've learnt from it too. Keep up with the pace and don't stop steeming.
PS: I'm going with the quote Think
My Boss Lady! I await your return 😁
I'm so blushing😊😊 right now.
Thank you.
LOL.... Hanti @jeline..
Reputation is just a number o..
This guy is a boss
Hahahaha... OK darling.
Since you know him, then he has no problem.
Again, very good and helpful advice for all who post on steemit. Well done. :)

Wow... Thank you so much brother.
Your comment alone means a lot to me. Thank you for reading.
Hey @godwine,
you made so much brain in this writeup. This is the proof-of-brain we are asking for really. Lolx
That said, the 5 points you have listed before, during and after the posting of the article are very important.
I want to stress on the use of markdown. It may take one or two rough days to get used to but once you can be patient enough to pay attention, anyone can learn it.
It makes the work look professional with ease.
Write more posts like this okay?
Cheers!
Roger that boss!
Glad that this post makes you glad.
I'll keep writing more posts like this.
Thank you boss. I truly appreciate.
