RE: What Happened to My Reputation? Plus, Other Assorted Rants about Steemit and a Coworker.

in #blog6 years ago

hey, @artisticscreech.

I think we're all allowed a little stream of consciousness when our reputations go haywire. :)

While I don't know that it's been totally confirmed (and you may know this by now from others), but Steemit was busy patching a hole vulnerable to a denial of service attack having to do with the payout queue, or some such thing. I asked for a little more information on it, but have not heard anything.

So, I'm not sure that the patching was directly related to the reputation, but I'm fairly certain that whatever they were doing or undoing messed with it.

It's too bad that the reputation ranking really means nothing to a lot of people, because for those of us who have worked hard to get it to where it is, it does have meaning.

re: co-worker.

Big reason why I wanted to go to into business myself was dealing with co-workers. I got to hire folks I thought I could work with, and for the most part, while it did have it's moments, things worked out well. Unfortunately, we don't all get to choose our team. So, we make the best of it and hope to someday in the not so distant future find something else, or another location, like it sounds like will happen to you. I wish you well in the meantime, since it sounds like you're enjoying the work itself.
