A Blog About Myself, And My Passion; Fishing ♥

Hello Steemians!

My name is Farhaan Kauroo and I live in a beautiful island called Mauritius, found in the Indian Ocean. I am 21 years old and I study at the University of Mauritius!

Since childhoon, I have always been fascinated by fishing as I live close to the sea, about 5 mins of walking! I have always admired the sea, not for its beauty, but for its strangeness! We, as humans, think we know nearly everything about the sea, when in fact there is still tons of things we don't know!

I am going to describe to you my last fishing trip.

This is the boat of my friend which we use to fish. We always go fishing in a group of five good friends, and we're never disappointed. The sea always has something to offer to humans.

Before embarking on our journey which lasts usually for an entire day, we set out to look for baits and bring with up provisions like water and food.

Once well equipped, we embark on our journey, and it sometimes feel like am in some sort of movie, because that is so wonderful!

Once set sail, we just enjoy the moment where my friends and I are together. Sometimes we sing and joke and laugh. I'm sure we all go through ups and downs in our life and we all have things to do to get over; Some go reckless, some smoke or drink, some go for a ride and some does nothing. However for me, this trip at sea sort of set me free from any problems that I have been facing.

Let's talk about fishing. It is not as easy as it sounds though. One thing I've learnt from fishing is to be patient. You can't always get what you want. There are days where we return home empty handed, and days where we get so much fish that we have to share with our neighbours!

And there is a large variety of fish in the sea. Much more than we think!

Fishing, however, is not just about catching fish.

And I quote:

Fishing has changed my life. The best moment to think and make important decisions about life is not when you're on your bed, or taking a shower. It is when you are on the boat, sailing on the peaceful and quiet sea, and then you slowly start to drift apart, and think about your life, studies etc.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. Only those who practice it, knows what lies in it ♥

At least once in your lifetime, I would recommend each one of you to go fishing if you have the opportunity. It's a life changing moment.
