Colours of Humanity

What is culture if not humanity’s imprint on time? It is the invisible thread that connects every experience, every idea, every story whispered on a summer night or carved into an ancient wall. Culture is not just traditions and customs—it is how people interpret life, how they assign meaning to things, how they turn the ordinary into something extraordinary.
But the fascinating thing about culture is that it’s never static. Like a living entity, it grows, evolves, influences, and is influenced in return. What one society considers "normal" may seem "strange" to another, and what is labeled "backward" might actually hold wisdom deeper than we realize. Isn’t that, in itself, a reason for reflection? Why do we cling to the idea of cultural superiority when every culture is merely a reflection of its people—their dreams, fears, and unique perspective on existence?
Sometimes, I wonder: If the entire world agreed on a single culture, would we still be human? Or would we become lifeless copies, stripped of identity, colorless and dull? Perhaps the true beauty lies in this diversity—in the fact that each land has its own story, each society its own wisdom, which we may not fully understand from the outside. But if we truly listen, we might just find a piece of ourselves within it.
So instead of judging different cultures by our own standards, why not learn to see them as works of art—each one painted with colors our eyes have never seen before? The world is vast, and humanity is too complex to be confined to a single way of life.
Now tell me—what is something from another culture that amazed you or changed your perspective on life? ✨🌎
