Why I Don’t Add Images to My Posts (And Why I’m Okay With It)
Some time ago, I was told that I should add images to my posts on platforms like Blurt, Steem, and Hive. I honestly can’t remember if I ever made a post explaining why I don’t, so for the sake of a quick update, I figured I’d share a little explanation.
The main reason I don’t include images in most of my posts is pretty simple: I’m just lazy about it. I create original content and sometimes post nearly every day. And even though we live in a time where I could generate any image I want with AI, I still don’t consistently include them. Laziness is part of it—but it’s also because I don’t see a huge benefit in doing so.
On platforms like Facebook or X, there’s clear statistical evidence that images help boost engagement and work better with the algorithm. But here, the algorithm is much simpler. It mostly revolves around timing and the value your posts bring. I get that I might be missing out on some rewards from whales or bots that prioritize image-heavy content, but I’m not too worried about that. Even though I often talk about finances, posting here isn’t always about the money. Sometimes I just want to share my thoughts without turning it into a full-blown production.
Even on Steem—where I earn next to nothing—I still post anyway, images or not. I’m okay with missing out on rewards if it means I can post the way I like. Sure, I could probably attract more followers or engagement by adding images, but these platforms have always been more of a space for me to share what’s on my mind. Of course, I’d love more followers and supporters, but I still want the freedom to just sit down and write without feeling like I need to add extra polish.
That’s just how I work.
Me encantó leerte. saludos.

Gracias por seguirme. Solo para que lo sepas, todo mi contenido está en inglés.

I find them useless too; besides, unlike Twitter, it's hard to network so "reputation" is usuallyword of mouth
