From Social to Desperate Media
Everyone wants to be perfect on social media, we want to either show off our lives, with the most extraordinary Filters and Photoshopping skills that were something we used to only see in magazine shelves, or we don't share anything at all and we end up just looking at the other seemingly glamorous people from our little private profile.
Funny enough, Facebook was originally made by Mark Zuckerberg as a Hot or Not Game website for Harvard students. What started as a game, has evolved to into a series of Hot or Not games that we all participate in through Instagram, Tinder and, of course, Youtube.
Even though He promoted Facebook as the social network, I have the feeling its just the updated version of the game.
Like in any popular game, there are people who will try to cheat their way to the top. But who can blame a young Kardashian for trying?
100 Thousand followers are enough for brands that cannot afford the original Kardashians and Taylor swifts, to hand you with their cheap tea and App advertisement deals. Making Money off of desperate Business owners have become the new Gold digging era, it would never be so easy to get fortune and fame.
But just like the gold era, it slowly comes to an end and only the early ones enjoy it while the others are drowning in attempts to get a spot of the light. Those attempts mostly consist of copy and paste.
When did it become a trend to be successful of off copying someone that you're not ?
