Smashed Controller Successful Future

in #blog7 years ago

Look there is nothing wrong with video games and we all know that, but dopamine is dopamine plain and simple. It can overwhelm and control your life if you don’t have the willpower to say NO and change.

If you spend 12+ hours a day playing video games without aspirations and goals, then why are you not making money off of it? What is holding you back from doing something you clearly are passionate in? Anxiety, Stress, Depression?

Take it from someone who has been there, you need to change! You need to say NO and get your life together. The duties of life come before the instincts of pleasure. This obviously however, isn’t something you can just read to break out of your shell, you need to act or submit and ask for help!

One of the hardest factors to sink in, is that the online social communities are indirectly a main responsibility. Online friends tend to be clingy and desire your constant attention. This is mostly due to the nature of how some of these online communities work in terms of guilds, clans, etc. Goal of the guild is to not fail, and when people leave it dies a little, (Exceptions being getting rid of a bad egg). So it is only natural for the collective narrative push a sense of constant peer pressure. Sometimes these environments get so bad that when you finally don’t want to play a game for a day or two, entire relationships fall apart.

Truth is you need to accept that if they don’t want you to change it is because they don’t want to change themselves. They are not ready yet nor are they obligated to be ready when you are. If you wait for them, you will never get to where you want to be, in the time you want to be.

Friends, have cut ties with me, and guess what? I don’t care, because I have cut off friends too. It's the evolution of social change needed for us to grow intellectually. You either surround yourself with those willing to grow when you want to grow, or be stuck with those comfortable where they are.

Cutting ties, and smashing the controller to better your life and reach the goals can be very difficult and challenging for some. However if you know of someone that could use this kind of help, or maybe you feel the same way yourself. Book an appointment, Mention “Game Addiction”, and I will even discount the meeting 10%.
