The Ones Who Steal Your Dreams - You Must Be Careful.....
Hello Steemians, I trust everyone is well
On this post I would like to talk about something that is quite common, the people I like to call thieves of dreams.
I've talking about putting the work on your journey to be surrounded only by good, honest people.
But to do this, you must be alert to be able to recognize the opposite, the ones I'm talking about today.
I was also talking about our real family we can build along our journey, that not necessarily is related to us by blood. Our true family involves everyone that want what's best for you, that truly care about you, related or not. Unfortunately I know people who have parents, or siblings who are not good to them, and to me that's not real family.
My late father is a great example, he had parents that were not fair with him and made him suffer a lot, however he was able to build a real family with his wife, his children and friends who are sometimes as precious as brothers.
But I digress enough, regarding the thieves of the story.
We have to be alert to this aspect of life. Since I've trained thousands of people along my career, I've had the opportunity to study this very thing in detail.
What is scary about the thieves of dreams is that they are closer than one would imagine. I would even say that the first thieves of dreams we will encounter will probably be within our very own family.
I'm not saying that they act as thieves for your dreams because they have bad intentions, but regardless of it all they do. Many times people around you project their dreams onto you, and hence they expect you to go down the path they think is the correct one.
I had a good father that taught me a lot of fundamental things I needed for life, things like honesty, respect, loyalty and responsibility, and of course that was precious to me. So what I'm about to say might sound confusing, but my father was a thief of dreams for me. Because he had always been an employee, when I would tell him I wanted to be independent and build my own life this way, it made him scared, and he would tell me that i was sure to fail.
In his mind rich people are born rich, he would tell me I had my head in the clouds, and I had to get a good job and get to working.
As you see, someone who was very important to me, someone who taught me foundational things about life, my father, was robbing me from pursuing my dreams. On the other hand my mother always supported me, and constantly pushed me to try harder, so I would often share my dreams with her, and her alone.
People that empower us are the magical elixir for our lives, they bring us the energy that we need so that we don't give up when things get really difficult.
So the message I'm trying to leave you with today:
"Beware those who want to take your dreams from you"
And always be alter, because they can be very close to you, they can be those who you are constantly sharing your ideas with, but they keep on putting them down, literally becoming the roadblock in your life.
This does not mean you can't enjoy these people, have a party, enjoy a drink, nothing like that.
What I'm trying to say is that with those people you will do best staying quiet and keeping the dreams to yourself.
Another lesson I learned is that is best to listen to life advice from people who have lived the situation before, the situation I'm sharing. To listen to advice that is just an opinion with no experience, can be counterproductive, it's all speculation after all.

People like to view the world from their eyes, the whole world including yours and theirs and so whenever you attempt something that doesn't align with their mindset you're wrong to them.
The most important thing is always to be your head straight up and your mind focused because your life is yours to live.

The importance of family knows that person who is connected with the family. The family term is not limited to the members of the household, but also those people who take care of us are included in our happiness sorrows in the family. The way you take care of the community and steemers who is associated with the community, of course you are the head of this community family. Your heavenly Father was, of course, a very good person, who has taken care of his friends who were same as brother with his family in such uncomfortable circumstances .
The thief of dreams can only steal your dreams, not your ability, your qualities, your skills. Your consistency always stayed with the good people, because you yourself are a very good and settled person.regards

How true. The sad fact is that we don't realize how many people we come in contact with in on a day to day basis - inc. family - can have such a detrimental effect on our self-worth, confidence and opportunities because one doesn't realize - and wouldn't want to accept if they did - that often it is those that are meant to love and support you the most that do the most damage.
There are some ways to recognize these people. Here are some tell-tale signs to be wary of:
Those people who make you feel defensive, and one way or another will criticize or point out worst case scenarios whenever you have an idea, opportunity or any new venture that they are not directly involved in or haven't suggested themselves.
People who keep suggesting that you make changes to your appearance, from clothes, to your hairstyle or colour and of course weight. And they won't be direct; it'll be something like "you know highlights are in now, no one is choosing one colour anymore', or "are you going out like that?"
They will be critical or indifferent about friends or significant others who have strong characters and over whom they have no control.
Those are just a few basic traits, but one thing is certain; deep down you are never left feeling good after seeing these people and sometimes you don't even know why.
Unfortunately this is a subject I am all too familiar with, and I think it's great that you brought it up. Awareness is the key.

But the Most Dangerous Robber is that WITHIN us; without whose Permission, the External Robbers of Dream CANT Rob and Destroy Successfully.
The Within Robber is ME , YOU, SELF masquerading as FEAR which Produces DOUBT which Stalls ACTION which births INACTION of No MOTION which finally leads to FAILURE because Success is MOTION!!

Hi @chbartist I am good and hope you are good too. This post is about true relationship. I grew with your opinion in this. In life we are surrounded by many relations like mother father wife kid friends etc. We should care more for the relations who care for us. Also it's better to learn thru someone else's experience rather than getting yourself stuck in the same problem. By this way we can save our self. Have a great day buddy.

In this instance, such person who is also experienced in many areas of life like your dad who has seen many people fail when they follow their dream to be independent by owning their own company(s). Such persons meant well. We can not just avoid them, but try as much to understand them.

Life will allow you to be happy when you let yourself be a slave of your dreams and seas, builder and architect of your future. It will drag the past to prevent you from moving forward into the future with the necessary strength and enough to be happy. Never give up, move on, because each difficulty is an experience to learn. Thieves of the dreams....
Pretty awesome title and what you write that is also awesome. Efficiently explained how and who is the thieves of the dreams.
Our family is very important to us. All of us work for our family. We work hard to give them every facility and comfort of the world. They could not be the theives of our dreams. I'm talking about the family (mother and father) which is in our blood relation. Some time they become defensive because they know the situation, at that time we cannot determine they are the theives.

May be you are right in your way but think about it if you are on his place. As you said your grandpa is not fair to him so he might be faced allot problems. That's why he become defensive and told you find a good job. He has too much experience about life how things go worse he already experienced it personally. According to me he just want to see you happy that's why he taught you that type of stuff.

Hello @chbartist, Your advice is much valuable for people who are suffering from problems. my father and mother always encouraged me in every moment of life. I faced a lot of problems in life from my close friends, but I never lose hope. We always need someone who can give us courage in down times and that part is played by my parents in my life. They are a great blessing for me.
No doubt that our dreams are theft from our close friends or family but we can prevent them by giving them strong logics or by just ignoring.
Life is very beautiful , we just need to see that beauty of nature which is hidden in the world.
