RE: Is Zuckerberg a black swan?...Is the crypto slide a play, or reality?

in #blog7 years ago

In the early 1990's most people didn't even know the internet even existed let alone how it would revolutionize the world. Governments didn't even worry about taxing internet transactions because it wasn't worth their time. When big money realized the potential, the internet blew up and changed the face of commerce. At the height of the US money crisis in 2008, someone introduce a new workable idea of internet money. For years most people didn't even know it existed. It was too small for governments to even worry about (sound familiar). Recently people have started to adopt this new way to interact especially financially. Governments and big money have realized their lock on money and control has a serious threat. Big money is about to flood into to crypto currencies and blockchain technologies t6o capitalize on the new way business is done just like Amazon back in the 1990's. Sovereign government fiat currencies could become obsolete. Obviously governments will fight their control over money to the death, literally. I believe the genie is out of the bottle and our governments will end up settling for the regulations and taxes they can get by with. This will be a long and painful battle. In the end, legitimate blockchain companies are the future, and a small investment now in the right cryptocurrencies will leave you competitive with the banks in the future.

I hope you are correct, mate.

but as an example of my wariness...

At the height of the US money crisis in 2008

There was no crisis (except in the perception of the general public). This was an event known for decades. It's a mathematical reality.

I can't believe 'we' are now seeing it for the first time (thanks internet), but the real big money powers since 1913- didn't know about it...???

I find this impossible to believe.
This is nothing new for 'them'. Debt based finance is designed to implode.

I fail to see how that they are not clever enough to know this...?
And if this is not new to them, they have had the time and the resources etc, to find alternatives...
