Chidambaram speaks at a price of petrol, Prices can be reduced by 25 rupees
New Delhi: Congress leader and former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram has blamed the central government for the continued rising oil prices. The former finance minister claimed that the prices of oil can be reduced to 25 rupees per liter, but the government is not reducing the prices for its benefit.
Chidambaram said on Twitter on Twitter, "Prices can be reduced to 25 rupees per liter, but the government will not do this, they will deceive people by reducing the price of petrol by one or two rupees."

Chidambaram said, "The government is making profits of 25 rupees per liter on petrol, which is the right of ordinary consumers."
He said, "The central government is saving 15 rupees per liter of petrol per fall in the prices of crude oil and apart from this, it is also imposing additional tax of 10 rupees per liter on petrol."
