PoW was designed for computers and networks from the previous decade. As Brendan mentions, it became rapidly obsolete, centralized and expensive. A lot of speculators think that these problems add security to PoW projects, but it is really not the case. Brendan, Dan and the block.one team are achieving the most amazing blockchain project on the planet. Can't wait for the testnet in the coming days !
