Blockchain Road Trip 1.0 - OAU Meetup in Nigeria


The Obafemi Awolowo University meet up started at exactly 12 noon, with the introduction and recognition of special guests and partners of the road trip. Bookons, a member of the organization team, gave the opening remarks.

Barineka Magboo, the road trip convener, intuitively invited the Aergo Ambassador, Mr Amec to further enlighten the audience on what the Blockchain Road Trip is about and educate them on cryptocurrency;
its definition, use-case and the opportunities it present. Amec outlined how anyone can make money through cryptocurrency, especially participating in airdrops and bounties.

The next speaker, Adedoyin Destiny, CEO of Infinite Block, hedged on Money and the Future of Money in Nigeria, comparing Fiat to Bitcoin and how the premium placed on 'Bank Money' is reducing with the introduction of digital money.

Flashcoin co-founder, James Hilton Jnr., elaborated more on the opportunities available in the Blockchain space pointing out that 5% of Nigeria's GDP is in Bitcoin and anyone who intends to go into OTC crypto trade will make it big time.

James Jr., applauded Nigeria's cryptocurrency movers - Naija Crypto for being an uprising exchange and CoinNewsExtra.com for striving on to be Africa's foremost blockchain/cryptocurrency news site. He ended his session by reeling on how they are working with banks to create a Naira stablecoin.

The next speaker, Steven Sunday, Aeternity lead ambassador to Nigeria introduced attendees to Aeternity Blockchain. He talked about Blockchain Nigeria User Group and the moves the firm makes to enlighten regulators about cryptocurrency in Nigeria.
