?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿ I have a Question!?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿

I have been thoroughly investigating the available e-commerce stores available to major populations, as well as coming up sites and fringe sites.
I am compiling data about the qualities of these and what people are most interested in and the capacity for these to grow, adapt and change with the technological, geopolitical, societal and cultural changes occurring on the planet. I am interested in your input and would like to hear what you use and why, and if you could change something about them what would it be, and why?

I want to know what you think!

I have only been here on Steemit for a minute, but the power of this community is proven by the strength of our involvement with each other and the relationships we make. This is True anywhere in any community. I want to know what this community feels deserves to be involved in a marketplace that we all share and use to the BENEFIT of ALL.

Feel free to read through my list of pro/con attributes and comment!

Competition Analysis- WORLD Website

Amazon-

Pro

  2. Easy Search capability
  3. Massive Product Inventory
  4. Ads- Option for Ads better than forced Ads (Basic Attention Token)
  5. Tailored for user ease of use

  7. BMDV shipping rates set by Amazon- Guarantees ease of calculating rates rather than different rates for every seller.
  8. Amazon allows sellers selling products already listed on the site to list their product simply by entering in the item’s UPC or SKU number. This process cuts down on the time a seller needs to prepare a listing because the relevant information has already been input by Amazon employees. Payment is completed by periodic bank transfers to the seller’s account and sellers are protected by Amazon’s Fraud Protection service.
  9. 1-Click Buying
  10. Payment completion on site/ No redirection
  11. Fulfillment by Amazon- Seller stores and ships through amazon and pays for service

Con

  1. No local Incentive
  2. 3rd party/middleman revenues from product sales($.99 per item, 6-45% referral fee per item, variable closing fee often by weight, BMDV closing fee fixed at $1.35 per item)
  3. Complicated, Frustrating and Expensive Selling Fees
  4. Limited Payment gateways- No Crypto
  5. Fulfillment by Amazon- Warehousing is unwieldy and unnecessary
  6. Ads- Option for Ads better than forced Ads (Basic Attention Token)

There are obviously more e-commerce stores than these, but I feel my points are covered pretty well here and that there are few or no alternatives sources that shift the parameters here or accommodate with a majority of the pros and minority of the cons...

If anyone knows of sites that offer beautiful attributes that I am not seeing here, please let me know in the comments. I'd Love to be directed to other posts on e-commerce as well. I would also be very interested in hearing about projects people are working on regarding the online marketplace or distribution worldwide. I'd Love to know about Blockchain integrations and encroaches upon the greater market.
