RE: The Land of 10,000 Portals: Pseudo-Interoperability in Health Care

in #blockchain6 years ago (edited)

There is one incredible blockchain project that will do to blockchain what Cisco did to the internet. I'm continuing to add to my investment...

Before Cisco, organizations had networked computers and could communicate to others but not outside of the local network. Each network had its own software and they couldn't talk to other networks. Cisco created the first network switch and router that translated one networks software to be able to talk to another and in effect launched today's global internet because of fixing the issue of lack of interoperability.

Blockchains will one day soon be enabled to interact with each other. The CEO of Binance in a conference Key Note in January said that there will one day be millions of blockchains each solving unique problems or opportunities. I expect healthcare will eventually transact on blockchains, if for no other reason the cost saving of blockchain and smart contracts will be too much to ignore. This new blockchain solution for blockchain interoperability will lead to a solution one day for all the interoperability issues plaguing health care.

I cannot tell you how much healthcare needs a solution that moves beyond politics and policy mis-steps. The private sector can do this better.
