Crypto Market Report
28/06/17, by Julian Fischer

Currency Space
We are coming closer to mass adoption day by day.
ATM Projects like Florida based Bitstop present a picture of what the near future might look like. (Picture on the right*)
Now Barclays wants to bring Bitcoin and Altcoins into play. *² It would make sense to keep a close eye on their Altcoin picks. I could imagine that they implement similar coins into their ATMs.
Another interesting project is Bitlish, which plans to open 5000 Cryptocurrency ATMs in Europe in 2017. Their machines provide Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Zcash purchasing. *³
While the Bitcoin Community has problems updating the technology, because of the miner/user discrepancy, Litecoin already activated Segwit without any problems and the amount of transactions on the network is rising, compared to Monero and Dash. *4 Litecoin seems to have a firm ground in the market, with different exchanges offering LTC/USD trading.
And now it’s getting really interesting. It looks like the MIT is collaborating with the Litecoin team to release a new kind of technology. Countdown is running.

If I would have to make just one call now, this would be it - Litecoin.

Populous (PPT = Populous Platform Token)
The Populous presale took place under the radar, while hyped ICOs like Bancor and TenX caught the focus of the market participants. Populous is similar to the Slovenian Hive Project, however Populous already has a promising whitepaper online. They work with Z-Score formulas and their presale received more than enough capital so that the planned ICO got canceled. This is pretty impressive, considering that they had almost no marketing.
The project is currently UK-based, but they are planning to expand to the rest of Europe, Asia and Africa. Target groups which could use their service would be Hedgers buying up invoices and companies which need quick liquidity. The currency model is deflationary. Populous is planning to buy back PPTs from exchanges and to reduce the amount of total PPTs over time.
Blockchain projects like Populous and Veritaseum, which target the financial sectors could receive a huge amount of capital inflow over time, especially when the traditional monetary system becomes instable and investors have to search for safe havens.
Populous has a good chance to get a first mover advantage in this space. It would be wise to monitor their competitors and keep a clear picture of this sector.
I think it’s still a good idea to buy some PPT as soon as they go live on the exchanges and then hold.

Bancor
The team takes models from traditional economics and tries to implement them in the crypto space. Emin Gün Sirer analyzed the Bancor model and found some important flaws. *5 To summarize, there is currently no real-world use case for Bancor and their ideas can easily be implemented by other more expansive projects, like Coval, which covers nearly all of Bancors selling propositions. Waves has a token creation mechanism too.

WeTrust
Okay, looks like the development team is already contemplating on solutions to avoid misuse of the platform. There afreere also voices in slack proposing cooperation with Civic and Agrello. Active development and clever brainstorming. They are hiring new developers too.
Trustcoin (TRST) are the currency for services performed by WeTrust as well as other service providers in the WeTrust ecosystem. The coin is a reward to any actor that facilitates trust and is paid by any actor that uses the Trust Network. Collateral used in any transaction will also be in the form of Trustcoin. The value of Trustcoin is derived from usage of the platform. There will be a total of 100 million tokens created and there is no inflation. Circulating Supply is 92,147,400 TRST at the moment, almost the Max Supply limit.

Matchpool
“A mobile and web platform, similar to tinder but with more features and not only focused on finding "your love". For example, you love tennis, you find a pool with more people who love tennis from your area and start talking with them and go play tennis with them. You can join pools about science or about book reading or skateboarding and then socialize with them and spend time together.”
Alpha gets released to Matchpool employees starting today and to the rest of the public at a later date. (July)
Inflationary mechanisms: Free tokens will be given to females as an incentive to join the network.
Deflationary mechanisms: Value mechanisms across every pool, subscription mechanisms and one would need GUP to open new pools (GUP would work as a reserve).
Circulating Supply: 75 Mio. GUP
Total Supply: 98,855,150 GUP
Will be interesting to see if reaches adoption or not. Usability might be a key factor. The alpha/beta releases would provide a clearer picture.

Synereo
Qrator is now called WildSpark. Beta release June 30th.
https://wildspark.me/
Concept definitely sounds interesting. Key factors now are usability and adoption.
Marketing is nice. No technical mumbo-jumbo, even people not familiar with blockchain technology can grasp the concept behind it:

A point of criticism is the ratio between Total Supply and Circulating Supply. (approx. 12:1)
Inflationary mechanisms: According to the Slack members, new users will receive free AMPs so that they can properly experience the product. (5 AMP for each beta user out of the Total Supply, which is not in circulation yet)
Deflationary mechanisms: New users entering the network, companies raising awareness for their products/services by amplifying their posts.
