Blockchain seems complicated especially for newbies in the crypto tech field, but it's core concept is quite simple.

  Blockchain is a technology that surports all crypto currencies or any other form of virtual currency.

Blockchain technology enables digital data to be sent and received, but can't be copied, meaning that one item of data can only be possed by one person.

    The idea of how fraud can be prevented is based on completed poW (proof of work), which is required approximately every 10 minutes to accept a new block or transaction.

This completed proof of work must be so big that it is completely impossible to cheat, since the potential fraudster would have to do more work than all other system administrators combined, which is very difficult to achieve.
