Building a Blockchain in Under 15 Minutes - Programmer explains

in #blockchain7 years ago

I wanted to demonstrate that the concept of a blockchain that powers almost all of the modern cryptocurrencies is very simple at its core.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin etc all are based on this blockchain technology. Many people think that the blockchain is a complicated thing while at it's core its just a clever use case of hashes.

Enjoy guys!

Thank you Ivan for making the complex simple

you're welcome brotha :)

Good one, again. Keep on doing what you do. Thumbs up!

thank you very mich :)

Love it! Who are your favorite educators regarding blockchain and crypto? E.g. Andreas Antonopoulis?
Edit: gave you a full power upvote!

Definitely Andreas, always learn a new perspective on the whole crypto space when I listen to him :) what about you?

For sure Andreas too

Great, so simple like that, great job.

nice to hear!:)

Thank you very much. I keep improving my knowledge. A question.

The hash algorithm seems to be a command in the software or programming language being used, right. Is this algorithm always the same? If you hash the same document with Java and with Linux , for example: will you get the same hash, the same digital signature, de same number? On the other hand: who programs this has? The programmer that programmed the hash seems to have an advantage here, or not?

There are different hashing algorithms, whenever you want to use a hasing function you usually pick one of the standards in the industry, if you would start your project you wouldn't "invent" your own hashing algorithm :) Because cryptos are generally open source anyone can check which hashing function is used and be sure that it's a good one

Ivan, check your slack link please my friend.

Ivan you glorious bastard. I was just seeking information on this exact topic last week. You are a wealth of great information sir. Thank you for all your efforts.
