The New York consensus event’s tickets are $2000. New York is the only state that has a special centralist expensive "Bit License" barrier to entry. Wall Street and Mainstream media are trying to act like they are relevant, how cute.
Among the influential public speakers, is a washed up Leftist rapper.
Vitalik Buterin, the creator of Ethereum sees completely through the Elitist nonsense. He goes on to roast the event with comments to that effect. He turned down an appearance offer, one he would have to pay $2000 to for. Nothing is more anti-blockchain than making a crypto god pay to speak at an event hosted by the old system. Fees, centralization and corrupt banking mafias are the reason Crypto exists. The whole thing is quite comical.

I have exactly the same opinion, the right shoulder formation is on it’s way. As long as we don’t sell to much we may get to the breaking point soon. Let’s hope this happens and let’s hope the consensus in NY helps a bit. I’ve already heard it will, we will see. I hate Wall Street as well even though I live in NY. However, it would be nice 👍 if some Wall Street investors come to crypto market instead. Should I move from NY? 😆! Didn’t think about it. Wow, that’s really crazy, they charge $2k for a ticket with almost 9K sold? I’m not going there since it’s already overcrowded! Even Vitalik refused to pay that much. With so many people and someone trying to tell us crypto is a fraud (Buffet, Gates...) what a jerks. Obviously, I do believe Jack Dorsey more than those two old has been’s, just because he is the new generation. I definitely support these events, just because of exposure and financial education just like you said.

Vitalik Buterin has accused CoinDesk of being casual at their end and misrepresenting things.
Buterin also posted the screenshot of CoinDesk’s “off the record” policy page and said that it is completely riddled with “traps” and “gotchas”.
He also accused CoinDesk of overcharging the conference attendees. more
Wait, what?? Really? This man would have to pay in order to participate? That's fucking ironic, hilarious and retarded at the same time!
Anyway, I just wish Consensus 2018 will have a similar effect on the market as Consensus 2017, even though I highly doubt that. I'm afraid all the big money attending is already invested in the cryptosphere this time.

The nervous investors are gone (along time ago). The media scared them off weeks ago. The price is consolidating. If the market were to go any further down we would have seen it on this latest drop. Think about it, the media has never been more negative, the bearish sentiment has never been greater, and , here we are going up again....
