A Rare crypto gem

in #blockchain7 years ago

The main problem with crypto world is its easy to fall through the cracks. There are so many different coins and tokens out there that its easy to get discouraged finding a good coin/token that has functionality, working developers, and more or less a future in crypto world. Statistically fifty four percent of ICO's fail within six months of launching. Today, I will be writing about a company from last years ICO, which is still alive and kicking today, and yes ... its a rare gem.

Crypto improvement fund, or CIF for short is a company founded by Scott Douglas. The premise of the coin is to become a payment processor for: paypal, credit cards, etc. They debuted last year during ICO phase, scoring near perfect scores from various rating groups (ICObench, ICOtokennews, ICOmarks and more). So lets ask an interesting question, why is this coin/token unheard of by mainstream crypto folks? Because you wont find it listed among CoinmarketCap, with a bunch of s***coins. CIF's primary role is to assist in blockchain adoption and development within business circles.

Here is a good interview with Scott outlining CIF. Video is rather long, but well worth the view.

So think of CIF as a business to business suite, businesses can use CIF via blockchain.launchpad to obtain help in following areas:

Marketing with CIF:

  1. will assist newer startups with Press Release Distributions (NBC,FOX,ABC,MSNBC)
  2. Publications with over 30+ Cryptocurrency news websites
  3. Will put together a professional demo video, even help you run and manage your social media campaign
  4. PR manually sent to 50+ contacts in Bitcoin media including Coindesk
  5. Professionally produced interview via Skype on widescreen
    ... and more..

Business Development with CIF:

  1. Sample white paper
  2. Tech solution with architecture design
  3. Website creation
  4. Business Plan(s) and Pitch Decks
  5. Market Research and Forcast Financials
  6. Even outsourcing CFO,CTO, COO,
    past clients: Golem

Blockchain Development

  1. Private blockchains: Eth, Dash, BTC, Quorum (and more)
  2. Smart contracts either developing and or creating new
  3. Blockchain Gamification
  4. SCM software

As you can see, there is a lot that CIF has been doing for past and current clients. This is really just the tip of the iceberg as far as what CIF can do for newer startups. If you're interested in knowing what can be done and fee schedules I will include those at the end. Whats interesting is that CIF is mineable, and also has masternode capabilities. Syncing to network is simplistic and speedy. I usually sync once a month, sync time is generally less then 5 minutes. The wallet is rather crisp and well designed with features expected from an x11 coin would have in regards to privacy.

I was able to ask Scott Douglas a few questions as an informal interview type, (guy is seriously busy) regarding CIF and his vision for the company.

"Where do you see CIF in a year, four years from now?"

I envision that CIF will be a trusted name and partner for businesses who are attempting to understand the benefits of blockchain of blockchain technology. I will see CIF working in tandem with large organizations on major projects which incorporate blockchain technology in order to completely disrupt existing industries. One of the fortes of CIF is that we are industry agnostic. Due to the vast experience on the team, we have the ability to survey any potential project and provide value, regardless of niche market or target industry. This ability comes from a team that has the ability to bridge real life experience with blockchain technology giving us the ability to add significant value to a large variety of different business clients.

"If you had to start over, what would you do differently?"

I'm actually very proud of what we've built so far. I think we've set realistic goals and expectations which are in line with our vision and our purpose. I think many of the projects that raise 10 Million Plus are setting extremely high expectations to their investors and if we look at the stats in the traditional startup world, a large majority of those projects will fail. I've always been of the mindset that I rather under promise and over deliver than the opposite. I think that's the ethical way of doing business when you're engaging with your community and with your customers.

"In the business aspect of the company, what is the most challenging?"

The most challenging aspect of building a company is scaling. As a service provider, this is something we will have difficulty with as well. However, our niche expertise will drive revenue and compensate for our business structure to some extent. Having the capacity and experience to be fluid and flexible with your business model will ensure future success even when scaling is difficult.

Being arrogant, stubborn and keeping blinders on will only lead to a failed business model. It's very important to be able to understand your weaknesses and fallacies, both as a human and as a business owner, as that's the only way we can grow ourselves and our organizations (the ability to adapt and change). I worry about many in this space who don't have the ability, as I think this is one of the most important aspects of any company, regardless of size.

"2018 is the year of Masternode, how will CIF's masternode work IE, will it be integrated into wallet? Do you have any sneak peeks?"

The actual implementation of Masternodes is really quite simple. We are already running an x11 alogorithm with the CIF blockchain and what this means is that we have the proper foundation for a masternode coin. After on-boarding our new blockchain developer we have successfully forked DASH at "0.12.2.3" and we're running that wallet in testnet before bringing in our chain parameters (the most important pieces of our specific blockchain).

We had to fix several syntax errors and ensure that our code is properly licensed. We're now testing sporks, sentinel and watchdog. Once we're sure that the wallet itself is working properly, the migration will be simple, with the end user steps comprised of simply the existing exe with the new one. All required programming will be built into the new wallet release, as well as the ancillary pieces such as sentinel.

CIF is currently traded on:
Crex24
CoinExchange
Crypto-Bridge
Stocks Exchange

All in all, in my personal opinion. Looking at CIF logically it makes sense. We are right on the cusp of major adoption in our ever changing corporate and enterprise realms. Just recently United States Postal Service outlined its ideas for its blockchain technology. It will be only a matter of time until virtually all enterprise, government and corporate entities are running blockchain technology at some level. So why not sit back and let your masternode help you make a steady stream of income?

Seeing CIF partner with newer entities like BitSchool, it gladdens me to see one company investing in the pillars of our society, so that all individuals have an equal chance to participate and grow personally and in respect to blockchain technology.

Excellent write up and nice interview points there with Mr Douglas. As you, I see a very bright future for CIF (disclaimer - I am one of the Community Managers at CIF) and I read recently as many as 55% of ICOs from last year have already failed, so it is a gem in among the hard rocks! 👍

Indeed, thanks for writing! 😀
