PROJECTWITH: A WORLD-CLASS INFRASTRUCTURE PROVIDING GLUTS OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR SPORTSMEN AND SUPPORTERS ALIKE

INTRODUCTION

Project WITH is a new platform developed as a support system to sport and sports players utilizing blockchain tech. it will provide football clubs with an avenue to scout for players and will provide fans alike the opportunity to converse and share information.
Sports is an international activity that cuts across race, gender, and any other social bias, reaching across to over one billion people in the world. According to research, the global financial scale of the football market is valued at 90 billion dollars and this trend is expected to increase.
The project aims to introduce a platform that will involve the supporters by giving them a chance in the transfer/scout decisions and also ensuring that all athletes involved are given opportunities at a stable career.
It will start football and gradually transcend to other sporting activities like; basketball, cricket, baseball, etc. it also aims to extend to the likes of golf and tennis.
All sport stake stakeholders will be actively involved in this project, the fans, club owners, agents. And by doing so, the platform will;

1. Provide sportsmen with more opportunities
2. Opportunities for clubs to generate more revenue from transfer fees
3. A network where fans can communicate and share info outside the regular social network
   I general, this is a platform designed to bring together stakeholders and share information.

BACKGROUND TO THE PROJECT

The current state of the sport industry
The market is in the increase no doubts, growing to a staggering 90 billion dollar market which is, in fact, more than the gross domestic profit (GDP) of the world-leading nations. This growth can only be attributed to the athletes, the better the performance of the athlete the more the growth, growing and gaining grounds through the media and internet adding value to himself and the club. This has led many clubs and agents to seek to only obtain or get athlete with superior performances. Obtaining such high-quality players will cost a lot of money. Firstly, 7-28% is paid to the agent as transfer fee commission; other costs are also accrued to finalize transfer deals. Also, the club doesn’t depend on one agent but posses many hence this requires a platform where specific information about athletes transfer is distributed.
Another problem discovered is in the management of a player’s career. Focus is given majorly to high profile players but what about players who don’t match that category? His has become an issue. If preference is given to one over another then problem will arise. Take, for example, profiling a high-performance player who would soon lose his competitiveness may be due to age, and or a young budding player in a far country who tends to rise to be a star in another nation. What this means is that there should be a system that manages both players alike not giving preference to one over another. This is an important factor in maintaining and sustaining stability in the industry. In South Korea for example out of about 10, 000 youths who register for a soccer academy only about 40% are selected and only a few of that portion makes it to recognized league and receive stable salaries.
As a result of this, athletes who have fallen out of line or have dropped value will be in search of clubs to get signed, which will be a tough job. This then has proven that there is a need to provide a platform where transfer information is given to athletes who are in dire need of such info.

PROBLEMS PROJECT WITH IS TRYING TO SOLVE

1. Limitations of content and channel: fans have grown a liking for quality sports content. Regular sports channels in the past were only directed at delivering sports contents but now several armature videos and YouTube content alike are being shown on such channels. What this platform hopes to achieve is to streamline this channel to strictly quality sports contents that fans can enjoy.
2. Sports market polarization: due to the absence of information, the sports community has been unable to evaluate accurately the value of a large number of football players compared to the market size. According to FIFA, there are 38 million players and 2,800 registered clubs. But not more than 0.1% of this number receive wages enough to earn a living. Also, most of the participating athletes do not get enough playtime and end up leaving the club to another profession or they just professionally retire. But this could have been averted if enough info were dissipated informing the players that they can extend their playing years in maybe other nations or leagues.

PROJECT WITH BLOCKCHAIN PROTOCOL

1.  THE MODEL: the team is responsible for carrying out researches to develop technical requirements for an optimized Mainnet platform. One of the requirements will be to reduce transfer commissions and handle the transfers professionally. Higher efficiency of uploading and sharing of data will be required hence WITH will work in sync with blockchain mainnet engineering team to produce a favorable platform.
   

2.  BLOCKCHAIN TECHNIQUE APPLICATION WITHIN THE PLATFORM: both the WITH token and WITH point will utilize the technology. Data uploaded and saved can be classified into being open or private. Open data will be made available to the public but the public ones will be encrypted and access will be based on authorization.
   

THE WITH APPLICATION

The application will function in the following areas;

1. Career matching
2. Assessing athletes market value
   Career matching: Athletes will upload their basic information including;
   a. Contract information
   b. Physical information
   c. Medical records.
   Tokens will be paid to athletes on each information uploaded. More valuable information provided leads to more rating of the player.
   Market value assessment: Information provided is calculated and given value by the platform, this is comparable with other users thus providing basic info for transfer protocols.
