I do not understand all of this, but staking means you have a piece of the action and so you will care more. I think this is a good idea.

He is one of the reasons I worry about this place succeeding. Since he fled after creating it, I have concerns. And now ned disappeared and we have people who have no stake running steemit (see above for why this is not a good idea)
