Malta Is Emerging As The New Mecca For Blockchain Startups In Europe!

in #blockchain6 years ago

I've been hearing about Malta from a consultant friend of mine about how they are shaping things up in their country to provide a stable base of operations for Blockchain startups. Looking into their progress on the web I stumbled onto their upcoming Malta Blockchain Summit

Malta wants to be the hotbed for blockchain tech startups and they seem to be taking this very seriously. In recent times we've seen Estonia rise to the occasion and provide good opportunities startups. So much that even Indian blockchain and crypto-startups have setup companies and business in Estonia.

Maltese government seems to be very open minded about this and this small European nation wants to have a strong legislation in place which will give further boost to their endeavour.

They are also looking to provide incentives via 'Malta Enterprise' a government entity offering a number of attractive schemes aimed at making it easier for start-ups in AI, Big Data, Quantum Technology and IoT, to relocate or co-locate in Malta.

So clearly, it's not only blockchain and cryptocurrencies they are after eh?

Overall in the past few months their policies seem to be shaping up nicely. So much that they are holding a blockchain summit to provide a platform for devs and industry people to shape up the Maltese blockchain future.

When I see events like these shape up I think about future events showcasing startups built Steem blockchain and powered by SMTs. Wouldn't that be great?

The dates for the event are 1-2 November, 2018 and it's awfully close to the Steemfest 3. Maybe some of you living in Malta or close to it might find it worth attending the event. If you do, please provide some updates from the event.

The line up of speakers and presentations looks interesting to me. It would've been great if someone could present Steem blockchain and the potential for dapps built on Steem at this event. Maybe in a future event I suppose?

wow,its cool.If this things happen in India too,how beautiful it will be!Thanks for the informations, wish you good time dear.

Oh.. That's incredible! Nowadays I'm getting a lot of free time which I I think can be utilised for learning computer programs and more about blockchain technology. Also, I'm putting my efforts towards introducing these terms to my students who are in their mid teens. I'm surprised to learn that almost all of them have their presence in online!

I'm figuring out ways to make their online presence really productive.

Forgot to mention, all the best Malta!

Yeah it's good to get youth acquainted with blockchain and cryptocurrency. :)

true that. thanks for your comment.

Nice to meet you... and you're welcome.

Malta does not have good reputation in EU. Estonia backed off some nice ideas due to EU pressure. Curious how Malta will cope, stepping out is a hardcore decision but they might benefit if played out well, what an interesting times...

Maybe so. I'm not very aware of their rep in EU but this move might help them add value to a growing tech ecosystem.

It is good to see that small countries like Malta see huge potential in Blockchain technology and we are fighting case in Apex court to regulate crypto trading in our country.

As current government shows vision of digital India to the people but not realizing the potential of Blockchain technology, which is not only cost and time efficient but also make Major area of government system curruption free.

As optimistic as I am we've got a long way to go!

Hi @firepower, it is good news for all crypto lovers that Governments of different countries are playing important role for launching blockchain with legislation in their countries.
