How do you see the future? The blockchain will prevail.

in #blockchain7 years ago

I read Shell Palmer's quest into the future "How do you see the future" on Linkedin, and I've gotten excited to have my own take on what the future will look like. Here are my predictions which some of them already are in happening and some of them will happen — I arrived at those by the way of converging the pieces of evidence which are already available and tangible to study.

Here we go:

  1. The governments, Banks, financials institutions and insurance companies will get replaced by Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAO) run on blockchain.

  2. Access to the goods instead of ownership. Everything on-demand.

  3. Everything will get connected to everything. If it’s not connected, it doesn’t exist.

  4. Education will disappear as we know it.

  5. There will be less and less jobs for humans.

  6. Those jobs will become focused on certain fields such as hard-core programing — machine learning — and humanitarian practices.

  7. 1% gods/goddesses (mega rich) — 4% wanna be gods/goddesses (super middle class) — The rest is poor.

  8. We will live in mixed reality. Leisure time will be spent in virtual reality.

  9. The meaning of love will become so complex yet simple, within reach yet beyond reach, which love will become a tradable commodity.

  10. The scarcity of natural resources will become the future's main challenge. There will be wars for natural resources - which will be conducted on blockchain.

  11. The power will shift back to regions by which the cultural foundation of humanity was originated.

  12. The majority of people will live off universal basic income; some will choose to depart the universal engine and live in remote places.

I must say that this is a great thought experiment which challenges every inch of your understanding of life and the current state of affairs. I highly encourage you to take on this challenge; if you do so, please share it with me.

Great share Bafsh (or Behrad)!

There are a lot of good points here. But, items 1 and 12 are the ones that have me excited.

Living in a place where a DAO handles all the paper pushing (life burning, time wasting) that is needed to operate in a modern society would be a dream come true for many.

I would imagine that everyone will get UBI but most won't exist solely on it. I'm speculating (hoping really) that 80% of the people will look for ways to create meaning and value for everyone while 20% decide to just veg out.

Great stuff!
