RE: Sculpting a creative commons Octopus in 3d , with progress shots and downloadable stl file
Very nice. I love seeing 3d work on here, especially scuplted work. I've been trying (and failing) to teach myself zbrush over the last few months. It has to have the least user friendly interface I've seen in any program.
Thanks, I have tried zbrush shortly but rushed back to the safety of blender. I am sure it is an amazing program but yeah, the UI is horrible.
I have heard that said about blender too, but i have used it for more than 20 years now so I don't really notice it. I guess all 3d programs are hard to get into, but that goes for many things. I have wanted to learn to play an instrument for years but the userinterface is just too complicated :-)
Haha true enough, everything is easy when you know how. These days I'm most comfortable with Cinema 4D. I'm by no means an expert but its one that feels the most intuitive to me. I did try Blender for a while. That Cycles render is amazing, and Eevee looks like it will be even quicker again. Its definite come a long way from the version I tried many years ago.
I always hear people telling me that zbrush is hard.
Its just the strangest UI I've seen in any modern program. I'm sure I'd get used to it if I stuck with it but its really off putting to use.
