Observation from this week
This section will highlight any observations made while analysing the data.
BitShares Core version 2.0.180823 has been released. This release is the first release which add's support for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS as well as some Improvements, security fixes and api changes. You can find more information HERE
@clockwork has open sourced the proof-of-concept code for Beet, The Bitshares Companion application. He has given it the name (Beet), MIT-licensed it and transferred it over to the BitShares github. The current code is for the ALPHA proof of concept release. You can find more information HERE
@cm-steem has released a draft BSIP 'Backing a Market Pegged Asset with multiple assets as collateral'. The focus of this BSIP is to allow multiple assets as collateral backing for an MPA. You can read all the details and provide your feedback HERE
The 'Bitshares Community 100 Cities 100 Stores' started by Guo An has reached 45 physical stores in China. The program aims to promote the unity, love and mutual assistance of the members of the BitShares community, by providing offline meeting places at various cities. More information HERE
@alexpmorris has released a HOWTO Encrypt and Decrypt BitShares Memos in Either JavaScript or Java guide. The guide provides information around the process and the code to get the job done. You can find more information HERE
Spark has released an article 'How True Decentralised Exchanges Work'. The article features the new SparkDex and focuses on 3 key concepts Fund management, Order books and Crypto transactions. More information HERE

It's a very busy network.
I've been waiting for that BSIP to be proposed for years! So happy it's finally coming to the DEX. 3x collateral backed by more stable assets backed by 3x collateral? I don't think people understand how much this will increase the value of Bitshares - both in price and its proposition.
