The era of bitcoin ends. It will take time, bitcoin will not dissappear.. but BTC will be no more number one in cryptocurrency.

In this post, I will summarize all what I found out - I am sure that a lot of people will have different oppinions, please feel free to write it in discussion :)

At the beginning, bitcoin was born to be used instead of fiat money. Already now was shown that its capacity, fees and electricity costs are not ready to make it usable - and it is only 1% of people using it (and the number I think is exagerrated). It was ment to change and reform financial sector.. So we have established exchanges which have to accept regulations from its governments; there are people who started early - whales.. instead of people from wall street, who are manipulating prices and who are getting more and more rich. All bitcoin was made for is gone. Even if those problems would be corrected in future, none government will let you have uncontrolled money - easy: they just prohibit via central bank (FED or whatever) acceptance of cryptocurrency exchange transfers. And you have no option to change bitcoin back to fiat and all the hype is blown away...

But that does not mean that blockchain or other cryptos are useles. Last correction we are now in, shows that bitcoin was the first and is followed by projects which will be changing our lives. Bitcoin itself will not dissappear, it is already used as a currency, gate to operate with all other alts.. as a metter for transactions, kind of the only currency for cryptocurrency world.

What this mean to our future? Whales from bitcoin world will now maximize their profit. The hype around bitcoin is going to be bigger, so it gets more people in and they will get drained by controled market. It means that bitcoin maybe gets to moon and back few times :) Meanwhile the nowadays projects out of investor scope get closer. People will then buy bitcoin only to easy invest in any altcoin and will not hold bitcoin for investment itself. By then, I expect BTC to fall to the ground as on its price will not metter anyway.

Ethereum - platform
Lisk, Stratis, Waves - programming frameworks
Ripple - bank transfers
Golem - supercomputer of unneeded servers running nodes now
Steem - social network

Please write in the discussion your favourite alts with their usage, even if they are in the ICO phase.. I am trying to get maximum info about cryptocurrency world and I would be very greateful :)
