What is SIA coin ?

Sia coin is a crypto coin that is used to pay for file hosting services( more on that later). It is also minable!

User Interface

User interface is very simple and good looking. When you open the wallet app there are five tabs-Files, Hosting, Wallet, Terminal, About. Each tab has sub-tabs on the upper right end of the screen.

Files

Here you can see your uploaded files, upload files, see your file transfers or create an allowance.

Creating an allowance

Creating an allowance is very simple. You enter how much SIA coin is your budget and the program automaticly calculates the fees and how much storage you get. Example; I need 20TB of storage that costs 5000+1600(fees)SIA(that is around 59€ for a month and a half). It is very cheap compared to google drive(price below).

Hosting

You can also make money by allowing people to store files on your drives – you become a host. You simply set how much space you offer, how much you request people to pay you and boom you are making profit when someone decides to host on your drives(not sure how the procedure goes, since I have not tried it yet.

Wallet

Wallet is very simple to configure you get a password made up of random words and you can see your address by clicking the recive siacoin button. You can also send SIA as in any other coin wallet. You can also lock your wallet with your password and recover your wallet in another computer by entering your password.

Terminal

Really not sure how to use it, I think it is for debugging purposes.

My opinon on the wallet

I think it is a great wallet, I think there are not any others For SIA coin out there. I like that you can buy storage space very simply and also make money with it very simply. The only downside is that it has download the entire blockchain but for me It was not that long(147mb/s). BUT you can already give your address to others to recive SIA and when the block cointaing the transaction is scanned you will see the funds in your wallet!.
