Ledger Nano S Hardware Wallet

I finally received my Ledger Nano S after about a month and a half of waiting! I've been looking for a secure method of storing my cryptos and I was trying to decide between the Trezor or the Ledger Nano S. It's obvious now which one I went with and I'm glad I picked the nano s. My portfolio grew exponentially this year, about 300% to be honest. With this growth I felt it was time to put most of it on the side and just sit and wait to see what the future holds for them.

Here are a few unboxing images I took of the Ledger Nano S

I'm really glad I picked this up, I purchased mine directly from the Ledger Nano S website. The price of one today is about $68. You can use different methods of payment, I used Litecoin to purchase mine, which was kind of cool since I've never really purchased anything with cryptos before so yeah...

The purpose for getting this hardware wallet is because I wanted to start a separate portfolio where I'll be funding it like a retirement account. I'm locking these cryptos safely in my Ledger Nano S for a couple of years.

The Ledger Nano S has a USB cable included to connect it to your computers USB port. Also, it has a quick start guide and keychain accessories to attach them to your keys. Not sure why anyone would do this, I'm locking this shit down in a safe.

I'm really happy with the design of the Ledger Nano S. The aluminum case around it will keep it protected in case you travel with it. It's also the size of regular thumb drive which I think is pretty cool that it isn't that awkward design like the trezor or the keepkey, the simple design it has is the best in my opinion.

That white stuff on the deck is bird shit btw in case you're wondering. All thanks to a birdfeeder my wife put up.

This is what's included with the Ledger Nano S

  • USB cable
  • Instruction Sheet
  • Recovery Sheet
  • Accessories - Lanyard & Key Ring

I'll be posting a more in-depth post with a video of me transferring my cryptos into the ledger and will go a bit more in depth with why I feel it's the safest method of storing your coins and how I'm planning to use the ledger nano s. Remember to upvote, comment, resteem. Thank you for reading.

Until next time, deuce.

I used my Fujifilm X-T2 with a 23mm f2 to take these photos and I did use affiliate links to the ledger nano s. I don't get much, but I'll take anything that will help fund my photography addiction. Thank you, if you decide to pick yours up using my link. If not, then that's still okay. I'm happy with mine, I'm sure you'll be happy with yours.
