Hi @crowe, there is no central bitcoin site, this is the meaning behind blockchain.
In order to buy bitcoin you can try for example Coinbase. its also possible to buy via credit card but the fee is higher. Afterwards you need to exchange your bitcoin to whatever you want via poloniex or bittrex.

Thanks. I've also been hearing lately about very high fees when transferring bit coin? What would the fee be about in your opinion if i were to transfer bit coin to buy steem? Thanks.
