What's the largest Bitcoin transaction ever made?

in #bitcoin5 years ago

As of April 2015, BTC's largest bitcoin transaction was 500,000 bitcoins. The deal was equivalent to $100 million at the time. You can view the transaction here.

Although there were no transactions involving larger BTC amounts, previous transactions represented dollar value... During the 2013 Thanksgiving holiday, Bitcoin soared to $1,200/BTC during the first widely reported peak period. (later dropped to $200).

On November 22, 2013, near the peak of the price, the transaction volume was less than 195,000 BTC (1.6% of the total circulating Bitcoin). Its dollar value is $147 million. [View here]. This blockchain detective sizzles around the world. Some people think that the sender may be Richard Brandson (Virgin Airlines has just begun to accept bitcoin to pay for the ticket), and even bitcoin inventor Satoshi Nakamoto.

Finally, what we really know about the 2013 deal is that it is probably an early miner who integrated his money from many small wallet addresses into a wallet.
