To be fair a lot of the people who are a part of steem and other blockchains don't really know what they consist off. I've learned more about blockchain and coding since I've joined steemit than I even knew existed.

It's all a learning curve and it will be the same for the majority of people who are coming in behind us too. The whole idea of decentralisation is the opposite of what we grew up with so it will take time to swing people around to a new way of thinking.
