At the time of this writing, the price of 1 Bitcoin (BTC) is presently hovering around $9,200 (Where is it now?). In December 2017, 1 BTC reached its present all-time high, selling for right around $20,000. It is predicted that the price of BTC will continue to grow by orders of magnitude. One of the really interesting things about bitcoin is that it is essentially infinitely divisible, with the Satoshi, a one hundred millionth of a single bitcoin (0.00000001 BTC), representing the smallest value presently recorded on the blockchain. So, as the global financial markets continue to pour fiat money into bitcoin, the Satoshi will become increasingly valuable.
