Cryptocurrency Mining Guide for the Absolute Beginner - Start Mining In Minutes!

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

So, you have a powerful PC and/or laptop with a shiny brand new Nvidia Geforce gtx graphics card.

You are determined and want to mine away and buy that dream car of yours.

Well, not that fast. Cryptocurrency mining can take years to generate considerable profit unless you have a super cloud computer with multiple graphics cards, such as this one:

However, if you're still determined and want to mine cryptocurrency with your current setup, then this is the easy and fast guide.

1-Go to https://minergate.com/ and create an account.

2-Download the correct miner software from the Downloads tab: https://minergate.com/downloads/gui

3-Launch the miner and log in.

4-You can choose to either "Smart Mine" meaning that the application chooses what it thinks will be the most profitable cryptocurrency to mine or choose a cryptocurrency by yourself from the "Mine" tab.

NOTE: You can choose how much of the CPU and GPU is used in the "Mine" tab. However, in the "Smart Mine" tab, the computer chooses them for you.

Now, mine away my internet friends.

Love the article I followed you and I would love a follow back. ANYWAYS I personally prefer cloud mining, it's less to deal with and it's nice not having power costs to factor in.
