Sounds like hypocrisy to me...
We've all heard the news by now, Elon and TSLA stopped accepting BTC due to environmental concerns, but that doesn't pass the smell test
By now you've likely heard why bitcoin fell off a cliff the past few days.
It was mostly due to this:
Elon has them paper weak hands
This just came out and dropped bitcoin by $8k as well as Tesla's stock price:
This is pretty shocking considering the makeup of bitcoin mining hasn't changed much in the last several months yet somehow Elon's view of it has.
This guy changes his mind more than a 5 year old child!
Here's his actual reasoning:
Hopefully this doesn't start the war on bitcoin/crypto mining that seems to have been brewing for several months now...

The funny thing about this was that there was no mention of the environmental damage his rockets do, or the lithium mining used for his batteries do to the planet.
However, the biggest question for me was how did Elon not know this was an issue 6 months ago when he bought bitcoin?
Nothing changed with the mining process over the last 6 months and Elon had to know that.
Which is pretty odd when you really think about it...
My guess is someone got to him.
Either the board of directors or the flaming liberals and their go green initiative or a combination of all the above.
Either way, this was very strange and not something that even made that much sense.
Even CNBC questioned his reasoning saying that he had to have known the mining process when he first put 8% of the companies money into bitcoin 6 months ago.
Either way, this will probably end up being a great buying opportunity several months from now.

Lastly, remember that cryptocurrency is the wild west of investing, and while huge gains can be made quickly, don't bit off more than you can chew and invest responsibly!
I'm guessing he was pressured because of the government grants that his companies use to push the agenda of big banks.
He is a Psychopath which is:
socially irresponsible behavior
disregarding or violating the rights of others
inability to distinguish between right and wrong
difficulty with showing remorse or empathy
tendency to lie often
manipulating and hurting others
recurring problems with the law
general disregard towards safety and responsibility

Elon Musk is a danger to the entire crypto market.
They could threaten him and make him say negative things about the entire crypto market, and people would listen to him.
Elon is not a danger for cryptocurrency, what is a danger is not having enough information on market.
