Hashflare is a cloud mining company that offers Bitcoin, Ethereum and Zcash contracts.

Important points in this post:

1-Do consider the maintenance and electricity fees (MEF) when you purchase the SHA-256 contract. At the time of writing this post, my MEF is 73% of my total profits. For every dollar I make, I will pay 73 cents to Hashflare.

2-The profit dashboard of the SHA-256 contract does not reflect the net profit; it does not exclude the MEF fees; If you want to check your net profits, you need go to the history tab to find the log.

The SHA-256 profit dashboard for 45.55 TH before the MEF fee is: 0.0026019 BTC

The net profit you will get for 45.55TH is around 0.00069996 BTC.

I will post an excel calculation based on Hashflare model. You can see the total investment cost, the net profit in btc, the MEW fee in btc, the payback period, etc…

Conclusion
Form my personal perspective, it is not a good time to invest in Hashflare right now.
Hashflare got a lot of hype when bitcoin price rose to around $20,000 on 20th December. At that price, you will make some money. The contract price was $2.2 per 10 GH and now is $0.8. They even reduced to $0.6 for around two weeks. Still, you will not make money at current price level. The contract only lasts for 1-Year.

What I recommend is that you can simply use dollar-cost averaging method to buy and hold.
In this way, you can reduce the credit risk if hashflare is closed tomorrow.
