Bitcoin will always be a KING of crypto currencies. Even now it holds about 50% marketshare, more than any other crypto. Any problems are temporary which will vanish when the Lightning network arrives and makes it super fast.

Lightning networks is not needed at this point, and is very risky solution to problem which could be solved in more simple ways..
