Not to worry. Jane MacDonald in her TV programme last night eased my guilt, saying that I am typical of the male, and the following scenario is played out by most men on the day before Christmas every year !
'Blimey- It's Christmas Eve and I haven't bought the presents Yet" Then a light bulb moment of inspiration - I'll pop to the garage shop'. To find the shelves empty except for some Christmas packs of Tampax Sanitary Towels, and Jump Leads!
Bitcoin
Here is a video on Bitcoin, whose price has been savaged in the past 2 days by traders who had bought low, now selling high and taking profits for Christmas. Always expected.
My Bitcoin BTC account is down of course, but my Bitcoin Cash BCC is up by a few points and so is my Steem Dollars SBD. Weird - swimming against the tide like that, but welcome. Could all change again in the next minute,that's how volatile cryptocurrencies are, and likely to be for some time.

You should only invest in and support the currencies you truly believe in; make sure they are honest and properly managed. Find the best one or two you can and get involved if possible.

Thank you . But isn't it a bit early in the life of Cryptocurrencies to be talking about the currencies you truly believe in ? Even Bitcoin is having the wobbles right now.
Your only thinking in terms of dollar value the technology is sound with the speculators trying to ruin it. Bitcoin has survived 9 years and has been under constant attack during this time. It has the strongest proof of work so will be the best store with the lightning network solving the transaction times, privacy and fees.
The only thing stopping the lightning network is political at this stage but I think most of the network can see the long term good so I'm hopeful we will get this through.
No wobbles it's still up 1000% for the year ;)

If it was,I couldn't yet be certain if any Crypto is destined to become widely accepted and established long term,with the possible exception of Ethereum.But I hope your strong conviction proves right.
I've been involved in this space for the last 6 years and I would encourage you to look at NEM the fundamentals are sound and it has been integrated into wechat which is the biggest messaging platform in China.

Etheruem has the same problem as bitcoin I feel with the crypto kitties game destroying there network but they do have a more unified development team so I'm sure they will solve this in time.
Thank you. Oh crikey, I've been talking enthusiastically to family members this morning about why I think Crypto Kitties will boost Ethereum.
I think the general public are puzzled by all the excitement around Bitcoin, and with their love of games(think Pokémon) will welcome an easy and fun way to join in.
I see it as win win. Not only will their Crypto Kitties soar in value but also drive up the price of Ethereum - Yes ?
It will bring in new users sure but network congestion = high fees which is what we are also seeing with Ethereum now.
I think it will still go up in price but it's going to be strangled a bit until they sort the scaling issue out.

He thinks the Crypto Kitties is a gimmick,and a serious business tool should not be associated with gimmickry.
I think he's wrong, and probably a fun way is the best approach to attracting the wider general public into Cryptocurrencies.
